AFI (American Film Institute), now giving you an opportunity to submit feature/short films to their film festival named AFI fest. The festival will be held at Los Angeles on Nov 5-15, 2015. AFI lunched the festival as FILMEX in 1971 and latter they re-branded it to the current name “AFI FEST”. AFI fest is undoubtedly an inspirational event for filmmakers and cinephiles across the world; it exhibits the event including nightly red-carpet galas, special screenings, conversations and tribute section to maestros. The American film Market (AFM) is the marketing partner of AFI fest and the festival is powered by Audi.

The festival will premiered the feature films that hasn’t been played in the greater Los Angeles area, also the festival haven’t had premiere requirement for short films that less than 30 minutes.  AFI fest also accepts the raw submissions of work- in-progress films, only if its final cut is ready to showcase before Deadline (October 23, 2015). Due to the high volume of submissions, all its short-feature submissions were accepted only through Withoutabox.com.

AFI Submission Details

Early deadline For Feature and short film is May 1, 2015; the submission charge for short films is $35 and $60 for feature films.

Final deadline For Feature and short film is July 24, 2015; the submission charge for short films is $55 and $75 for feature films.
