PEN America is offering justice writing fellowship [US] to the journalists who are interested in mass incarceration issues. They can apply for this fellowship and PEN America will then pick six writers for focusing on the stories of their families, incarcerated individuals, communities as well as the criminal justice system’s wider impact. PEN America is also honored for being entrusted by the Art for Justice Fund for engaging the literary community in addressing various societal issues prevailing in the world.

They will also participate in two cohort meetings: the first is scheduled in October 2018 and the second will take place in February 2019. The projects must be completed by May 2019. The fellows are going to receive US$10,000 and they may also request for up to US$5,000 for research and travel, in addition to the mentorship.
