The Chicago International Film Festival is one among the oldest film festivals in the world. Annually, the festival will be held in the month of October in Chicago. It offered the Film submissions in various categories such as International Feature Film Competition, Short Film Competition, Out-Look Competition, World Cinema, Cinema of the Americas and New Directors Competition.
This year the festival will be held from October 15-29, 2015 and the last date of accepting the entries is July 6, 2015. Filmmakers can submit their films online through their festival’s official website or through the withouitabox.com. All the Films that are produced after September 1, 2014 are eligible for the submission to its various categories.
The Films that are showcased in US theatres or the Films that are aired on States television prior to the festival dates are not eligible for submitting either to its competition or Non-competition section.
An applicant can submit any number of films entries to its competition (or) non competition section, but all such entries must apply through individual submission forms. The films can be submitted on online screener, DVD or Blu-ray disc and feature films can be submitted either on DVD or Blu-ray disc format. The submission video format must be 35mm, DCP, and HDCAM.
Deadline: Early bird deadline for submitting the film is on April 3, 2015, Regular deadline for submitting the film is on June 19, 2015, late deadline for submitting the film is on July 6, 2015.
