Call For Entry: Venice International Film festival Submission detail 2016
The Venice Film festival is one of the oldest and significant film festivals in the world. The festival was organized by the Venetian City Council in 1932 and it held at Venice Lido, Italy in every year on the months of August (or) in earlier week of September. The festival accepts both the short and feature film submissions to its various categories that are majorly of Golden Lion, Silver Lion, Grand Jury Prize and Volpi Cup. In its previous (2014) film festival, it screened 54 feature films, 18 short films and 8 documentaries and that year’s prestigious golden lion lifetime achievement award was credited to Thelma Schoonmaker(Film editor) and Frederick Wiseman (Filmmaker).
