In This year of shanghai Film Festival, India Can really Proud of These two Things
The Shanghai International Film Festival is known as the largest film festival in East Asia. This year the festival is held from 13th to 26th of June 2015, it has received more than 5000 entries from various parts of the world, majorly from China, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, India and European Countries. The media and the film lovers from India are constantly scrutinizing this Film Festival, since Its Inception i.e. at 1993. Ishu Patel is elected as the president of international Jury for the animation competition at Shanghai film festival. Mr. Patel is a notable animation filmmaker, film producer and educator. In the past 20 years, he served as board of member in National Film Board of Canada, currently he is working as a visiting professor of animation at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Also, he credited some remarkable awards include two Oscar nominations, Grand Prix at Annecy, the Silver Bear Award at the Berlin Film Festival, British academy awards.

Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi Jimmy Chin, An award winning US resided Director/Producer made a Short Film “Meru”, which portraying a story of three mountaineers story and their attempt to reach the summit of the Mount Peru. Mount Peru is situated 6,000 meters above the sea level and it located in Gharwal Himalayas, in the Uttarakhand Region of India. The film ‘Meru’ was Selected for the Golden Goblet Award, which is the highest award of the Shanghai International Film Festival.
