When foreign films are eligible for only one award, “Best Foreign Film”, we should know how limited the scope of winning that is, and how relevant it really is.

In any given year, an excellent film can get left out and an average film can win. It’s all in the hands of the current panel and in the collection that shows up for that year.

There is no objective answer to which deserves to be nominated. Gandhiji was never bestowed with the Nobel Peace Prize, was he? Obama was at war, when he got it! Go figure American awards and their mindsets beyond this!
