As a film making student I’ve bought a lot of different gear over the last couple of years.
I found that buying used is in most cases a bad idea since most the equipment such as camera, tripods, and gimbals need to be cared for and maintained.
After a few bad experiences with Craigslist and EBay, I’ve decided to stick to new gear that comes with warranties.
I normally order my gear from – http://www.diyfilmtool.com and http://secced.info
Both sites are amazing and the Secced tripods come with a 3 year warranty, can’t beat that.
