THE PROCESS OF REGISTERING A FILM PRODUCTION COMPANY IN INDIA IS SAME AS USUAL COMPANY REGISTRATION. THIS SHOULD COMES UNDER COMPANY REGISTRATION ACT.

Hi ,
I want to make a travel based program where we will travel all over india and abroad and shoot tourist destinations and approach some channel to air it.
I have my my host and script and i will direct myself. But our problem is the camera and the cameraman. Which camera will be suitable for our shoot and is it possible to get the camera on rent. From where? Whats the cost? And can we get a cameraman if needed. And how much it will cost us.?

Hi,.
First, thanks for your support and help.
I am from Rajasthan. I want to register a firm as a production house in the beginning, don’t want to open a company. as you know because of budget. so my questions are
Question 1. Can I open a sole proprietorship firm as a production house?
Question 2. What should be the nature of business?
As far as I know there is two division in firm registration.
1. product/ manufacture/ sales business – for which we get TIN no. and taxes like vat, sales tax, etc.
2. service based business – where we get service tax and all that.
Now the confusion is
if I work as a ad production house, I provide service to client so my business is service based. but when I make a film, which will be consider as a product, which I want to sale by the help of distributor or YouTube. so my business comes in first criteria.
Question 1. when I go for registration what nature should choose ?
Question 2. what kinds of taxes we get on films? Specially entertainment tax. can you plz explain this procedure and afterwards legal issues in details.

You can register your Ad Film Production Company in India by following company registration act of India.
Tax, etc can paid based on the service you offered.
